Mets 2022 Pick # 1.11 - C - Kevin Parada

But because the entire profile revolves around the offensive tools, it probably doesn’t affect him as much as his peers. His arm is below-average, and he’s a below-average receiver.   Parada’s approach is aggressive, as a result he swings at a lot of good pitches, as well as some of the bad ones. The positive is that his bat-to-ball skills allow for some decision-making error, and he can get away with poor swings. On pitches in the zone, he rarely whiffs. Parada has some low hanging fruit in the profile o

Mets 2022 Pick # 1.14 - SS - Jett Williams

2022 Draft - Mets Pick - 1.14 - SS - Jett Williams   Jett Williams   SS         5-8       180       Rockwall-Heath HS (TX)   5-3-22   -   Kiley McDaniel    (@kileymcd)   Jett Williams  is a 5'8 prep shortstop from the Dallas area committed to Mississippi State with mid-first round buzz. Can really hit, run, and field, with feel to lift the ball in game and sneaky power. Skip to 0:48 for Kenny Powers vibes during BP.   https://t.co/pYfQHpnf80       4-21-22   -   Prospect Live - Mock Draft 2.0  -   20. Atlanta Braves   Jett Williams , SS, Rockwell-Heath   Williams is a spark-plug middle infielder with sensational bat to ball skills and surprising juice for his size. There are those in the industry who believes Williams has the best hit tool among the “second tier” of the high school bats. He’s your prototype top-of-the-lineup bat who can stick at shortstop, though a shift to second base would see his defense tick up into the plus territory. There figures to be a good year on day on

Mets 2022 Pick # 2.52 - RHP - Blade Tidwell

2022 Draft - Mets Pick - 2.52 - RHP - Blade Tidwell   Blake Tidwell   RHP   Tennessee   2021 Tennessee stat line - 18-starts, 10-3, 3.74, 97.2-IP, 90-K   4-26-22   -   Baseball America  -   20 –   Blade Tidwell   Tennessee   RHP   HT: 6-4 | Wt: 200 | B-T: R-R Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted Age At Draft: 21.1   Tidwell was a projection righthander out of the same Loretto high school in Tennessee that produced 2018 first-rounder Ryan Weathers. He ranked as the No. 408 prospect on the 2020 BA 500, but now possesses some of the most electric stuff in the 2022 draft class and looks like a first round arm. Tidwell posted a 3.74 ERA during the 2021 spring with Tennessee, striking out 90 batters and walking 34 over 98.2 innings. He continued to impress over the summer and a fastball that sat 93-95 mph last spring was touching 98 mph in the fall. He mostly works with that fastball and a low-to-mid-80s slider that generated whiffs at a 37% rate last spring. Tidwell has also been effective with

Mets 2022 Pick # 3.90 - RHP - Brandon Sproat

Fastball 94-96 over extended outings, but Sproat can run it up there 97-99 over shorter appearances. It's a heavy heater with run and sink. Slider is a mid 80s, short breaker that he commands well at the bottom of the zone. Changeup is a firm, high-80s offspeed offering that is more of a ground ball pitch than a strikeout pitch right now. Sproat has sensational arm talent.     12-21-21   -   https://247sports.com/college/florida/Article/Florida-Gators-Baseball-Four-Top-100-draft-prospects-lead-Gators-to-No-6-preseason-ranking-Jud-Fabian-Hunter-Barco-Sterlin-Thompson-Brandon-Sproat-178837940/  -   Brandon Sproat  made the list at No. 98 and worked 21.2 innings during his se

Mets 2022 Pick # 4.119 - 3B - Jacob Reimer

2022 Draft - Mets Pick - 4.119 - 3B - Jacob Reimer   Jacob Reiner   3B     2-3-22   -   Perfect Game California   @California_PG   Good look at  Jacob Reimer , 2022 Inf from Yucaipa. Very advanced approach at the plate with a keen eye. 2 BB's  in this look and hit a missile up the middle for a knock. Body has trimmed down. True 3b profile for the @UW_Baseball commit.     https://t.co/bIMsgb8iWQ       12-30-21   -   https://www.prospectslive.com/prospects-live/2021/12/29/2022-mlb-draft-top-300-prospects  -   177   Jacob Reimer   3B   Yucaipa   Yucaipa, CA   When it comes to Reimer, it's all about the bat. There's significant bat speed here and a keen sense for the barrel. A big-bodied high school infielder, there are concerns on his ability to stick on the left side of the infield moving forward, but much of that leans on how his body matures. Reimer is a solid defender with a good arm, so the natural tools are there. Reimer tends to get pull-heavy at times, but the talent

Mets 2022 Pick # 5.149 - SS - D'Andre Smith

2022 Draft - Mets Pick - 5.149 - SS - D'Andre Smith   D’Andre Smith   2B       5-8       170       USC   12-30-21   -   https://www.prospectslive.com/prospects-live/2021/12/29/2022-mlb-draft-top-300-prospects  -   223   D'Andre Smith   2B   USC   Diamond Bar, CA   Smith really set the world on fire at USC during his true freshman season hitting .341 in just 14 games. His rate stats and batted ball numbers suggest a pretty complete bat with a keen eye for the strikezone and the ability to really impact the baseball. Smith didn't chase pitches outside of the zone and really avoided striking out. Creating more loft will be important for Smith moving forward as he's more of slasher than a banger for the time being. Smith is an average runner with an average arm. He's best suited at second base moving forward.     11-16-21   -   Prospect Live - Second Basemen  -   D’ANDRE SMITH  – SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA   Smith will also be a draft-eligible true sophomore in 2022. A spark

Mets 2022 Pick # 6.179 - RHP - Tyler Stuart

2022 Draft - Mets Pick - 6.179 - RHP - Tyler Stuart   Tyler Stuart   RHP        6-9        240   12-30-21   -   https://www.prospectslive.com/prospects-live/2021/12/29/2022-mlb-draft-top-300-prospects  -   267   Tyler Stuart   RHP   Southern Miss   Kankakee, IL   Stuart is a super-long bodied righty with big stuff and pitch design metrics that should capture big league organizations' attention. The fastball rests in the mid 90s, touching 98. He throws a firm, short slider in the mid 80s that he can spot for strikes. He's also got a changeup that lags behind his two primary offerings, but has shown promise for long-term usability.
